This is a 7-day safari visiting Aberdare, Samburu, Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara. Samburu and Aberdare are not as famous as Mara and Lake Nakuru but they are extraordinary as well. With
this itinerary, we can show you much more about Kenya’s wildlife and landscapes. All our tours can be customized to meet your safari needs.

Arrival

Upon arrival, you will be picked up from the airport by our representative. Note that airport pickup and drop off on the last day is covered in the tour package. Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged at an extra cost

Tour Plan

Pick up from your hotel in the morning and proceed to Aberdare National Park, located about 150km (93 miles) east of Nairobi. Arrive in time for lunch at the hotel and later proceed for an afternoon game drive in search of the rare black rhino, leopards, baboons, and Colobus monkey. Enjoy this beautifully scenic region much more relaxed than the savannahs and offers an entirely different perspective on the country. The scenery is spectacular, with its mountainous terrain covered in thick tropical forests shrouded in mist. Dinner and overnight stay at Treetops Lodge.

After Breakfast, depart for Samburu, passing through hush farmlands, crossing the Equator and proceeding to Samburu National Reserve, located in a rugged semi-desert region. Lunch at Samburu Sopa Lodge/Similar Lodge. Afternoon game drives. Samburu Game Reserve is home to rare wildlife species, including the Beisa oryx, Reticule Giraffes, Masai Ostrich and Gravy's zebras. Dinner and overnight at Ashnil Samburu Camp.

After Breakfast, head out for a full day of game viewing drive in this dry semi-arid Park with its striking background view of the Mathew's Range. The surrounding terrain is renowned for rare wildlife -long-necked gerenuk, Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, and the Beisa Oryx. Leopards frequently pass by. Drive through the gently flowing Ewaso Nyiro river, which traverses this Park and provides evergreen vegetation for the wildlife found in this Park. Game drives and birdwatching safaris are ideal for experiencing the indigenous wildlife in its natural splendor. Dinner and overnight at Ashnil Samburu Camp.

After Breakfast, depart Samburu National Reserve for Lake Nakuru National Park in the Great Rift Valley, passing through the arid lands and the highlands of Kenya. After lunch, go for an exciting game drive until 6.30 in the evening. The bird life here is world-renowned, and over 400 bird species exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets, and Marabou Stork. It is also one of the few places in Africa to see the White and Black Rhino and rare Rothschild Giraffe. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

Early morning breakfast. After Breakfast, leave Lake Nakuru for Masai Mara a 5 Hrs drive; you will pass through Narok town, the famous Masai town. You arrive in time for lunch. Check in at the camp and have lunch. Afternoon game drives through the Park in search of the Lion, Cheetah, Elephant, and Buffalo and a visit to Mara River. Dinner and overnight will be at the camp.

After Breakfast, proceed on a full day of game viewing within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The Masa Mara is the best Park for a game in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network, allowing for close-range viewing and photography.
Break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool, looking out for hippos and crocodiles. In the evening, you'll return to the hotel. Here, you can catch a sundowner in the evening or relax by the poolside. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

On the last day of your stay in the Masai Mara, you'll head out to an early morning game drive and later return to your lodge for Breakfast. After Breakfast, check out of your hotel, and enjoy scenic countryside views enroute to Nairobi. You will have lunch on your way to Nairobi. You will be dropped off at your respective hotel or the airport for your flight back home.
